In conjunction with Juneteenth weekend, Vincent Victoria Presents a world premiere screening of the movie Blaque Tcherie: The Beginning of the Black Pinup Girl at Cinemark Tinseltown 290 on the Northwest Freeway and at Midtown Art Center. The movie dramatizes the founding of the first African American girlie magazine. Inspired by Playboy Magazine in 1953, two ambitious men set out to get famous black actresses of the day—Eartha Kitt, Lena Horne and Dorothy Dandridge—to be their first centerfold. Screening Schedule
