Discovery Green presents the 18-foot tall House of Cards on the Sarofim Picnic Lawn daily through Sunday, October 11, 2020. Timed, free reservations are required for weekend viewing, and social distancing measures will be implemented. The striking structure consists of 126 giant, five-foot tall, double-sided playing cards, many of which sport custom artwork created by 20 Houston-based artists. By day, the cards’ crisp white lines and vivid images make a powerful impression. But House of Cards comes alive at night, when colorful projected animation creates the illusion of the entire house of cards rising and falling to the music of an original soundtrack. Admission Free, although advance registration is required for 20-minute viewing windows on Fridays from 6pm to 10pm, Saturdays from 10am to 10pm, and Sundays from 10am to 9pm. No reservations are required on other days and times. Click here: link to reserve a viewing window on those days of the week, or for more information.
