Lone Star Flight Museum presents a four-day, in-person summer camp, Crafty Aircraft, designed for ages 8 and 9 years old. Summer Camp: Crafty Aircraft Simple toys often model great inventions. From hot air balloons to gliders and rockets, every day of the camp will focus on a different flying invention. Campers will learn how the inventors studied sciences that made their machines work, and how their model follows the same rules of flight.
Kids will build a flying machine every day to test fly and take home, including the toy Flying Bat that inspired the Wright brothers.
Campers must bring a sack lunch, as well as a separate snack, each day of the camp.
A separate session of the his camp will repeat from Tuesday, August 4 through Friday, August 7, 2020.
Additional camps are available this summer for ages 10 to 12 and ages 13 and 14. Click here: link for more information.
